Hi all,
This weekend I have a table at the Phinney Ridge Winter Festival, here in Seattle.
Address: Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle, 98103
Times: 10 to 5, on both Saturday (Dec. 3) and Sunday (Dec. 4).
There’s a $4 admission price for adults, but plenty of activities and shows to be worth it. More details in the link.
Because of the festival, I’ll be at Pike Place on Monday and Thursday next week.
The weeks after that and until Christmas, I plan to be at the market Sundays and Thursdays as usual; possibly also Mondays. I’ll let you know next week.
Another event I plan to participate in is Alternative Elementary 2 School (AE2 Decatur) Winter Bazaar, on Friday Dec. 16th. Time: 3-7 PM. The school is between 77th st. and 80th st. NE, and 40th and 43rd Ave. NE. The bazaar is in the school gym.
This is our sons’ school, and 20% of proceeds go to the school. I will have there my usual items, seasonal items and also some special low-cost ‘kid items’, priced from $1 up. My sons Daniel and Guy will sell some of their own pottery, starting at a quarter! (it’s a custom among many of the school’s kids to make and sell their own on that day.)
There are other nice things to find in this bazaar – such as the famous Laotian stuffed snakes and geckos found at Pike Place, sold by a Pike crafts vendor who’s a former AE-2 parent, and priced lower than in the market – as well as a great atmosphere if you like kids! Last year the event was a blast.
In all events and market days this month, I’ll try have seasonal items – Christmas ornaments and Hanukkah lamps. If you’re interested in specific items, please write to me and ask me to bring them – or we can arrange a meeting at my home.
All the best,
Orna
